Coaches, you have an invaluable role. Most importantly, your actions and your words will significantly impact young athletes' view of competition as well as how they handle success & adversity. You have a responsibility to hold yourself & your players to a high standard of behavior. Teach your players to compete hard and congratulate their opponents for doing the same.

Teach your athletes to "PLAY WITH JOY!" Happiness is based on circumstances, JOY comes from the wellspring of your heart.

Safety First! You need to supervise your players and others in the gym. Keep them safe & respect the space you have been loaned.

In addition to character instruction, it is the role of the coach to teach players fundamental defensive & offensive skills to help them improve as players & as a team. If I can help you identify these skills or strategize how to effectively teach them, please consult me.
